Dragons Academy - 2025 Trial Details
Trial Details:
All players (including Academy 2024 players) must register to trial. We only run trials at specific period in each term. Registrants will be notified by email of trial dates/time/venue.
If a player is assessed to be at a skill level where the group is full, we will advise the trial outcome and place the player onto a wait list. Should any players withdraw or get moved to other groups, we will draw from the wait list to fill the vacant spot.
Main Trial period for 2025 intake:

Between 25 November 2024 and 10 January 2025. 2024 Academy Players: You will trial during your training session in Term 4 2024. All other Players: You will attend 2-3 sessions between 25 November 2024 and 10 January 2025, you will be informed via email your trial dates. |

Main Trial period for 2025 intake:
If you miss the main trial period mentioned above, we also run trials in the following periods (pending available places). Please proceed to register for trials and we will be in touch.
- Summer school holiday term: January 2025
- Term 1 2025: Weeks 2-3, 3-14 Feb (registration closes 31 Jan)
- Term 2 2025: Weeks 2-3, 27 Apr-9 May (registration closes 25 Apr)
- Term 3 2025: Weeks 1-2, 14-25 Jul (registration closes 18 Jul)
- Term 4 2025: Main trials for Academy 2026 (details to be published in September)

Training Schedule:
Outside PVL season (usually terms 1 and 4), players will attend 2 sessions a week on weekdays. Training times are 6pm-7.30pm or 7.30pm - 9pm.
During PVL season (usually terms 2 and 3), players will attend 1 session a week on weekdays. Training times are 6pm-7.30pm or 7.30pm - 9pm.
Some Advanced and Elite level players may attend an additional Strength & Conditioning session.
Training schedule will be provided on a term-by-term basis via email.
Fee Information:
Academy 2025 fee is $770 for the calendar year and is separate to all other fees such as PVL, State Champs, etc. No refunds if you decide to pull out due to reasons such as "I am busy", work, etc. Refund will be considered for extreme extenuating circumstances such as long-term injury, health, etc. Reduced fees are offered for players who join later in the year.
